Better than the classroom!

While utilising UAQ Marine Club’s unique location, school students and corporate groups throughout the UAE will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the mangroves, revitalise the mangrove islands and gain confidence in a fun marine environment.

In a safe and secure facility the Marine Club offers an outdoor education which improves life skills such as problem solving, confidence building, team work, leadership, communication, awareness of actions, as well as physical and emotional awareness.

Outdoor Education

The Marine Club’s outdoor educational and field studies centre includes one of the highest outdoor high ropes courses in the UAE specifically designed for educational establishments as well as for the corporate sector.

The High Ropes Course is certified in accordance with European standards and our friendly ERCA trained staff will give you a safe yet exhilarating experience that you will never forget. With activities from kayaking, canoeing and raft building to Zip lining, Climbing, Archery and Maze there is something for everyone. Try, learn and grow!

Amazing Adventure

Students from all over the UAE have come and made memories they will remember for the rest of their lives. We also have Houseboat trips that are more educational on a curriculum based level and aim to provide the children with not only a look into the wildlife and habitats of the mangrove islands but also to give them an awareness of the impact humans have on theses habitats and in effect the wildlife species that live there. During our houseboat excursions there are various activities that improve self-confidence using our inbuilt slide on the houseboat.

We are delighted to announce we are now an approved International Award Training Provider. This is a very big achievement, as we are only 1 of 4 certified providers in the United Arab Emirates.

Our trained staff operate both the Bronze and Silver adventurous journey elements of The International Award in the UAE.

We provide each group from start to finish: in-school preparation work on navigation, health and safety, survival skills, we implement leave no trace process, compass work, risk assessments, nutrition advice and route planning.

The first overnight trip is a qualifier and second is an assessment.

While on expedition with our fully trained staff support team, we provide bus transport for the students and staff to and from drop off location, 4×4 safety support, instructor operated checkpoints, route knowledge, emergency exit strategies and water stations at regular intervals.
