While utilising UAQ Marine Club’s unique location, school students throughout the UAE will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the mangroves, revitalise the mangroves and/or gain confidence in a fun marine environment.
Both day trips and overnight options are available with full board and/or catering included.
Trips will include the full use of UAQ Marine club’s facilities.

Mangrove Environment Learning
- Use UAQ Marine Club’s vessel to tour the mangroves.
- Accessing the mangroves to understand their diversity, effect of change.
- Utilise club house facilities as a base for learning.
- Syllabus provided in advance for guidance of teachers.
- Excursions/eductional tours led by fully trained teachers and guides.
Mangrove Rejuvenation
- Use of UAQ Marine Club’s facilities and equipment.
- Observing the difference in marine ecology between a polluted mangrove and a unpolluted one.
- Cleaning up of a small area of the mangrove environment.
- Excursions/eductional tours led by fully trained teachers and guides.
Understanding Marine principles and Water sports
- Learning about tides, swells, currents.
- Buoyancy.
- Marine safety.
- Water sports: kayaking, knee boarding, water skiing, banana boat rides, wakeboarding.
- Using various UAQ Marine Club’s facilities.
- Excursions/educational tours led by fully trained teachers and guides.
Fun Day
- Tour of the mangroves observing turtles, flamingos, various species of fish, crabs and vegetation, etc.
- Swimming in the sea and pool.
- Looking at how fisherman catch the different species.
- Using various UAQ Marine Club’s facilities.
Or a tailor made combination of any of the above options
